St. Charles Turns Spooktacular in Time for Halloween
Area events and activities provide a wide variety of fun for all ages and interests.

Trick or Treat on Main Street – Friday, October 31 (3-5 p.m.)
Event will be held along Historic Main Street for costumed children age 12 years and
younger.  A great way to have a safe Halloween “trick or treating” in the daylight!  For more

Missouri River Storytelling Festival -- Ghost Stories (Katy Depot in Frontier Park)
. Friday, October 10 and Saturday, October 11 – 7-9 p.m. (Sat. evening event for ages 10+)
. Saturday, October 11 – 1:30-4 p.m. – Missouri Mule Storytelling Marathon.
All three performances are FREE with a canned good for a local food pantry.
. Saturday, October 11 – 10 a.m.-noon – Grand Master Ghost Storyteller, Ron Adams, will
present a workshop entitled “How to Tell Ghost Stories for Adults” ($25 per person).

Monsters & Marshmallows– Friday, October 24 (7-9 p.m.)
Celebrate the fall season with the staff of the First Missouri State Capitol, 200 South Main Street. 
Activities include:  storytelling, marshmallows and s’more fixin’s, bonfire, costume parade,
goodie bags for children.  This fun, family-oriented event is FREE.

Theatre of the Dead – 1107 North Second Street in Frenchtown
Haunted house open now through November 9 – 7-11 p.m. on Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday; 7 p.m.-1 a.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.  Cost $18 per person (student and group discounts available).  For more information call 636-493-1776 or online at www.theatreofthedead.com.

Halloween Spooktacular – Thursday, October 30 (6-8 p.m.)
Free event to be held in Memorial Hall at Blanchette Park for children ages 3 to 12 and their family members.  There will be friendly ghosts, howling goblins and YOU are invited to be the special guests.  Call 636-949-3372 for more details or online at www.stcharlesparks.com.

Haunted Hayride on Main Street

Corn Maze – Boschert Family Farm (Hwy. 94 N. to Blase Station Road)
Now through October 26 – 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.  Adults (ages 13+) $8.50 /
Youth (ages 4-12) $6.50 / Ages 3 and under free.  Affordable pumpkins, hayrides, BBQ, petting
zoo, kids corn pool and loads of family fun.  Even learn about the Lewis & Clark Expedition –

Halloween:  Ghosts from the Past – Saturday, October 25 (6:30-9:30 p.m.)
Storytellers share tales of ghosts, goblins and all those unexplained things that go bump in the
