City offers a host of activities including historical reenactments and gardening venues galore

Lewis & Clark Heritage Days
This event initiated by the South main preservation Society and now sponsored by the city of
St. Charles, Lewis & Clark Heritage Days has been an annual event since 1979.  The annual event
commemorates the time the Corps of Discovery spent in St. Charles in May of 1804, making final
preparations for their journey.

Saturday, May 17 – all activities take place in Frontier Park (riverfront) unless otherwise noted.
11 a.m.        Parade on Main Street
Noon        Morgan Horse Demonstration
1 p.m.        Military Tactical Demonstration
2 p.m.        Fife and Drum Muster
4 p.m.        Artillery/Firearms Demonstration
Sunday, May 18
9 a.m.        Ecumenical Church Service
Noon        Fife & Drum Corps Massed Bands
2 p.m.        Musket Reliability Match
3 p.m.        Tru Dengler Memorial Skillet Throw

In addition, there are a host of ongoing activities, including period music/entertainment, story
telling, children’s games, crafts, foods, military camp demonstrations, discovery expedition camp
demonstrations, keelboats and related activities at the Boat House.  For a complete schedule of

St. Charles in Bloom – Saturday, May 17 – 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This event, sponsored by Arts & Culture, features a host of garden center booths nestled up and down Main Street.  In addition, area shop owners feature garden gifts,
