2009 Festival of the Little Hills to be held Aug. 21-23 in Frontier Park
Friday, August 21, 2009
WHO: Folks from around the metro area will once again get their fill at the 2009 Festival of the Little Hills. The event was founded in 1969 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the city of Saint Charles (just to clarify, this was the Bicentennial in honor of the city's initial founding; as you may know, this year we're celebrating the Bicentennial of our 1809 incorporation as a village).
WHAT: Festival membership is made up of predominately non-profit groups, benefitting over 40 St. Charles area organizations. As in year's past, the festival will provide entertainment for all, including crafts from wood carving to jewelry. Plus, there will be a plethora of food, music and street performers. Billed as St. Charles' largest festival of the year, the event will showcase more than 300 craft booths.
WHERE Frontier Park -- Riverside Drive
& WHEN: Friday, August 21 (4 to 10 p.m.), Saturday, August 22 (9:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.) and Sunday, August 23 (9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.).
ALSO: Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom Adventure Tour (http://www.wildkingdom.com/) will be on display for the first time at the festival. For additional event information, access the festival online at www.festivalofthelittlehills.com.
