News 4 to Feature St. Charles during its On the Road Segment the Week of Sept. 14

On four consecutive Fridays, beginning September 18 through October 9, News 4 will take its newscast “On The Road.” News 4 will anchor the 5:00pm and the 6:00pm news live from cities in Missouri and Illinois. The locations include St. Charles and Kirkwood, Missouri, and Alton and Belleville, Illinois.  The first stop for “On The Road” will be St. Charles on September 18th.

Over the course of the week leading up to the live newscasts on location, News 4 will air a series of stories highlighting that week’s city. Then on Friday, the KMOV Channel 4 production staff will set up an outside studio at a popular location in each city.  On the day of the live “On The Road” newscast, viewers are invited to meet the News 4 team earlier that day at our live location.

Throughout the week of September 14, the city of St. Charles will be featured on the News 4 evening news as follows:

September 14-           . 5pm-New Town (featuring Tim Bussy, architect)
                                       . 6pm-Boathouse (featuring Bill Brecht)
September 15-           . 5pm-Sts. Joachim and Ann (featuring Miriam Maham)
                                       . 6pm-Holiday House (featuring April Feldewerth and customers)
September 16-           . 5pm-Fashion Week (featuring Tom Hannegan and Lindenwood students)
                                       . 6pm-The Foundry (featuring Joyce Rosen)
September 17-           . 5pm-Freedom Center (featuring Mayor York)
                                       . 6pm-Main Street Books (featuring Vicki Erwin)
September 18-           . 5pm-Texting while driving (featuring Councilmember Bob Kneemiller)
                                       . 6pm-Streets at Noah's Ark (featuring Council Vice-President Laurie Feldman and Jeff Giebelhousen of Cullinan)
 
The culmination of the week will occur on Friday, September 18, when the News 4 Team broadcasts live at 5 and 6 p.m. from St. Charles in two locations:

Duchesne High School (Football Game)
Sports/Weather Segments
Steve Savard and Kent Ehrhardt

Prior to the Friday, September 18 broadcasts in St. Charles, on-air talent Vickie Newton and Larry Connors will be available at 3 p.m. in Berthold Square to meet the general public and sign autographs.  Mayor Patti York will participate in the 5 p.m. broadcast highlighting the various events and activities associated with the city's Bicentennial celebration.
