Martha Little Promoted to Director of Sales

Martha Little has been promoted within the City of St. Charles to serve in the capacity of Director of Sales. This newly created position at the Greater Saint Charles Convention & Visitors Bureau reports to CVB Director David Rosenwasser.
“Martha has more than 20 years experience in sales here at the CVB,” said Rosenwasser. “Her vast knowledge in promoting St. Charles as a convention destination is second to none. Over the years, Martha has represented our city in a number of convention markets, including corporate, association, government, sports and SMERF (social, military, education, religious and fraternal). We couldn’t be happier that she’s taking on a new leadership role in this capacity,” he said.
During her career with the CVB, Little initially served in a variety of support staff capacities for some ten years. Since 1992, she has been in the position of Convention Sales Manager where her primary focus has been the responsibility for promoting and selling St. Charles as a convention destination for meeting professionals in the tourism industry.
“It is an honor and a privilege to be selected for this new position, and have the opportunity to further define the St. Charles sales strategy and mission,” Little said. “It is a pleasure to manage the CVB’s day-to-day sales activities, and also represent St. Charles at industry trade shows and a variety of market opportunities to generate new leads for the city,” she said.
Little holds numerous professional distinctions and honors, including the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation. She also received the Presidents Award and Supplier of the Year from the St. Louis Chapter of the Society of Government Meeting Professionals. Little is involved in a variety of professional organizations, including Meeting Professionals International, Professional Convention Management Association, Destination Management Association International, Missouri Society of Association Executives, Illinois Society of Association Executives, Kansas City Society of Association Executives, American Society of Association Executives, Society of Government Meeting Professionals and St. Charles Lodging Hospitality Association.
