The City of St. Charles will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m., at the regular City Council meeting on January 5, 2009, on the 4th Floor of City Hall, 200 N. Second St, in City Council Chambers to discuss the past performance by the City in carrying out the City’s 2008 Disaster Grant funded by the State Community Development Block Grant through the Department of Economic Dev.  MoDED awarded $175,954.00  that covered the North County Levee District’s 20% share of the Elm Point Levee repair\rebuild coordinated by the Mo. Corps of Engineers. MoDED awarded $9,960.00 to cover the cost for grant administration for a total grant award of $189,914.00.  All interested citizens and groups are encouraged to attend the scheduled hearing.
