As a reminder, the city will showcase local vocal talent during its homegrown version of Saint Charles Star.  A group of 14 city residents will participate in the competition finals, representing two categories:  Junior Star and Adult Star.

The finals will take place from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 11 in Wapelhorst Park (1874 Muegge Road).  The 2009 Bicentennial finalists are:

Judges participating in the final competition are:  Tamara Tungate, Jim Deken, Beth Boschert Duello, Josh Powlishta, Cliff Hardy, Todd Luerding, Eric Barfield and two representatives from Lindenwood University.

The winner in the youth division will receive a yearlong scholarship with the Patt Holt Singers, with the top adult winners to receive scholarship opportunities to Lindenwood University. Concessions will be provided by the St. Charles Parks & Recreation Department.
