Drug Take-Back Program to be held Sat., May 8 at the St. Charles Police Department

The St. Charles Senior Citizens Advisory Commission, along with Mayor York and the City Council will sponsor a Prescription Drug Take-Back Program on May 8, 2010 from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm at the St. Charles Police Department, 1781 Zumbehl Rd. St. Charles, Missouri 63303.  St. Charles City residents and business owners can bring their unwanted prescription drugs to the police station for proper disposal.  Those interested should: 

. Bring identification to verify you are at least 18 years of age

. You may bring in medication from anyone living within your residence/household

. Bring medication in its original packaging

. You may bring in any medication from a licensed pharmacist, including controlled substances, liquids containing medications, prescription inhalers, and medicated ointments or patches.

Items not being accepted at the Turn Back event, include:

. Illicit Drugs (i.e., cocaine, marijuana, etc.)

. Sharp Objects (including needles)

. Radioactive Meds

. Bio-hazard Materials

. Glass Thermometers or other Medical Devices
