to participate in a one‐time, Free Yard Waste Pick‐Up Day for Spring 2010. The
service, to be provided by Allied Waste Services and paid for by the city, will be
available to area residents living in single family units. There will be no cost for
area residents.

WHAT: In order to participate in the planned pick‐up day, residents must
have their yard waste placed at the curb by 6 a.m., and observe the following
yard waste guidelines:

  • Yard waste with trash mixed in cannot be collected.

  • Loose yard waste must be bagged in standard 32‐gallon PAPER yard waste
bags or placed in designated 32‐gallon or smaller yard waste cans or
placed in Allied yard waste carts.

  • YARD WASTE IN PLASTIC BAGS WILL NOT BE COLLECTED.

  • Yard waste carts are to be used for yard waste only.

  • Customer‐owned containers used for yard waste should be marked with
the letter "X" or the words "Yard Waste Only."
  • NOTE: Any household not having yard waste material properly bundled or
bagged and at the curbside when Allied appears in the route area, will not be
serviced, and will be responsible for purchasing yard waste tags in order to
receive services on the subsequent Wednesday.

  • Wednesday, April 28
(for customers that have trash service on Monday and Tuesday)
