St. Charles Opens Ice Rink with Figure Skating Exhibition
Metro Edge Figure Skating Club to present – Nutcracker on Ice
WHO: The city of St. Charles will officially open its temporary ice skating rink the day after Thanksgiving in Frontier Park as a part of the year-end Christmas Traditions festival. Featured as a part of this year’s grand opening will be an exhibition of Nutcracker on Ice, presented by Metro Edge Figure Skating Club of Webster Groves.
WHAT: Watch over 100 area skaters, as the wintery story of young Clara and her prized Nutcracker unfold on a sheet of sparkling ice. The exhibition skate in St. Charles will be open to the general public and free of charge. Members of Metro Edge will be available immediately following each presentation to talk with visitors and sell tickets to their Dec. 4 and 5 performances to be held at Webster Groves Ice Arena, 33 East Glendale (tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door; children under the age of four are free).
