Keep at least a 3 day supply of non-perishable food. Select food that requires no refrigeration and little or no water.
Sample Food Items:
* Ready to eat canned meat, fruit, vegtables and soup
* Peanut butter & Jelly
* Granola bars
* Dry Milk
* Dry cereal
* Crackers
* Canned juice (apple, grape, V-8)
* Comfort/stress foods (cookies, nuts, candy bars)
* Cat/Dog food
* Avoid salty food (it will make you thirsty)
Make sure you have a manual canopener, disposable plates and utensils.
