The Legal Department is responsible for:

• Providing legal advice to the Mayor, City Council, City Departments, Boards, Committees, and Commissions concerning issues related solely to City business
• Managing litigation involving the City
• Preparing City ordinances and resolutions
• Preparing/reviewing contracts and leases
