Project Description: New Town Blvd. is a narrow asphalt roadway that is in poor condition with substandard drainage ditches. This project consists of a total roadway reconstruction and widening to three lanes, drainage upgrades and elevation out of the 100 year flood plain.
Traffic Control: Beginning on July 25, 2011 the road will be closed to southbound traffic between Elm Point Industrial and just north of New Town Dr. It is estimated that this closure will be in place until December 2011. Detours will be set up as shown in this Detour Map (3.4MB).
Ongoing Work: The northbound lane is 90% complete with work on the east side connections and concrete driveways continuing.
Major Work Completed to Date: Storm sewers construction, the southbound lane, all concrete driveways on the west side of the road and the Seeburger Road connection.

I-70 and Fifth Street Corridor Improvements

Estimated Completion Date: Substantially complete.
Project Description: The project on Fifth Street between I-70 and Ameristar Boulevard includes the addition of a lane on northbound Fifth Street, new brick paver medians, ramp improvements, new signals, storm sewers and lane reconfiguration in this corridor. A new traffic signal will be installed at the exit ramps from westbound I-70 onto Fifth Street.
Traffic Control: Drivers can expect various lane closures while punch list items are completed.
Ongoing Work: Punch list items such as final striping and a signal interconnect.
Major Work Completed to Date: Construction of this project began in March of 2010. Ameren UE, Charter and AT&T have completed the relocation of their lines. The off-ramps from I-70 onto Fifth Street have been widened. Pavement in poor condition on Ameristar Blvd and Bass Pro Drive has been replaced. Medians along Fifth Street adjacent to the dual left turn lanes onto Bass Pro Drive have been constructed. New signals have been installed throughout the project limits.

Boschertown Road Phase I and Fox Hill Road Reconstruction

Substantial Completion Date: January 6, 2012
Project Description: The project limits are the section of Boschertown Road between Fox Hill Road and just south of Carriage Crossing and on Fox Hill Road between Boschertown Road and Cottonwood Drive. The existing Boschertown Road and unimproved section of Fox Hill Road are narrow (20 feet wide), deteriorated asphalt roads with substandard drainage systems. The project will provide three 12 foot lanes on Boschertown Road and two 12 foot lanes on Fox Hill Road. The "S" curve on Boschertown Road will be realigned and seperated by a raised median. The project also includes roadside ditches, roadside inlets, enclosed concrete pipes, a concrete box culvert, water main, streetlights and a shared use path.
Traffic Control: The project will be completed in several phases with several different stages for traffic. During the this phase of construction, Boschertown road will be closed to traffic from just north of Pathfinder to Carriage Crossing. This closure is expected to last until December 2011. See "Detour Map 2" below for more information. Drivers can expect to have additional lane closures throughout the duration of the project. Please watch for signs directing traffic.

Ongoing Work: Grading and paving on Boschertown Road.
Major Work Completed to Date: Work associated with the placement of pavement and the shared use path near Boschertown Road from Fox Hill to Pathfinder. Approximately 2200 feet of water main has been installed along Boschertown Road and approximately 12250 feet of water main along Fox Hill Road. All work associated with the sanitary sewer extension.

Boschertown Sanitary Lift Station

Estimated Completion Date: March 12, 2012
Project Description: Construction of a new sanitary sewer lift station and dewatering and removal of sludge from the existing Boschertown Wastewater Treatment Lagoons.

Traffic Control: There will be intermittent closures along North Highway 94 while work adjacent to the roadway is ongoing. Most work on this project will not require traffic control.
Ongoing Work: Construction of the reinforced concrete wet well is ongoing.
Major Work Completed to Date: Construction site security and erosion control measures have been installed. Dewatering and excavation of the wet well site are also complete.

Boschertown Lagoon Force Main

Project Description: Construction of two new HDPE force mains (side by side 16 inch and 20 inch) which will run from the new Boschertown Sanitary Lift Station to the upgraded Missouri River Wastewater Treatment plant.

Traffic Control: There will be intermittent closures along Hawning Road and North River Road while road crossings and work adjacent to the roadway is ongoing.
Ongoing Work: Punchlist items are being completed
Major Work Completed to Date: This project is substantially complete. Both the 16" and 20" fused HDPE force mains have been installed and tested. The have been connected to the upgraded Missouri River Waste Water Treatment Plant and are awaiting connection to the Boschertown Lift Station.
