The Public Works Department is responsible for:

• Planning, construction, and maintenance of public infrastructure, usually in the City's right-of-ways
• Planning, construction, and maintenance of City-owned utilities such as: 
  • storm sewers
  • sanitary sewers
  • traffic lights
  • water mains
• Planning, construction, and maintenance of City-owned utility lines

To manage all of these responsibilities, the Public Works Department operates as five different divisions:

1. Engineering Division
2. Water Division
3. Street Division
4. Facilities Division
5. Wastewater Treatment Division
