The purpose of the Parks and Recreation Board is to:

• make and adopt bylaws, rules, and regulations for the operations of the parks and the recreation programs of the City
• direct the expenditure of funds from the parks tax, bond proceeds, revenues from parks and recreational facilities, and revenues from the Metropolitan Parks & Recreation Sales Tax
• be responsible for the administration, care and maintenance of the City cemetery (with assistance from the Cemetery Advisory Board)

Meetings
The Parks and Recreation Board meets on the third Wednesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Hall in Blanchette Park.
