The purpose of the Youth Advisory Commission is to:
- promote youth involvement in governmental affairs
- advise the Mayor and City Council on education, cultural development, leisure activities, social concerns, and an other issues requested by the Mayor and Council
Meetings
The Youth Advisory Commission meets one Thursday a month.
Members
The Youth Advisory Commission consists of:
- no more than two youths appointed from each high school, university, or community college
- two youths from a youth service organization
- a City Hall employee, who serves as an adult advisor
- a Council liaison
Youths serving on the Youth Advisory Commission shall not be older than 21 yeas of age at the time of their appointment.
