Dear Fellow Residents of Ward 10:

I am honored to represent you on the St. Charles City Council, and look forward to serving the needs of our ward and the city overall.  I have been a resident of St. Charles for 25 years, and have lived in Ward 10 for the past 20 years.  My husband, Jeff, is a native of St. Charles, and we have raised our three children here in this fine city.  As a long-time resident, I have watched St. Charles grow from a sleepy little town to a vibrant city...all the while maintaining the beauty and charm of its "small town" atmosphere.

If you're interested in my public policy position, I firmly believe:

  • the City of St. Charles is a wonderful place to live, and we need to support and preserve our city for the next generation
  • elected officials are an active representation for the city, and should be the liaison between the government and you -- our citizens
  • city government needs to be fiscally responsible, and follow through on upholding our laws and ordinances
  • we need to enhance recreational opportunities for our city's youth
  • our seniors represent valuable members of the community, and their collective experience and history help shape our future
  • we must continue to keep our crime rate and taxes low
  • we need to maintain our city roads and related infrastructure, and keep them pristine
  • we should continue city beautification programs that enhance our overall city image

And if you're like me, you're already well aware that St. Charles is as much about play as it is about work.  So don't forget to take advantage of our iPod walking tour the next time you're on historic Main Street.  Be sure to stop by the Greater St. Charles Convention & Visitors Bureau, 230 South Main Street, and check out an iPod free of charge.  This historical tour is one you won't want to miss, and it's an hour well-spent...in fact, I guarantee you'll learn something new about our city!  And, for more information about current events and activities, please access the tourism office on-line at www.historicstcharles.com

Again, it is a pleasure to serve you.  I will listen to your ideas, find answers to your questions and address your concerns.  I will continue to use honesty and integrity to support you and city business.  I will always have your best interests at heart when making decisions about issues impacting not only Ward 10, but the city at large.  I look forward to talking with you!  So please call or drop me a line anytime at your convenience.

Best wishes--
