The City of St. Charles is fortunate to have many outstanding resources available to our senior residents.
Mid-East Area Agency on Aging (MEAAA)
The MEAAA serves older adults residing in St. Charles, St. Louis, Franklin, and Jefferson counties. Their vision is for seniors and their caregivers to have opportunities to lead satisfying, productive lives with health, honor, and dignity.
MEAAA programs and services are available to anyone age 60 and older. At their St. Charles (O'Dell) Senior Center, they offer:
- Caregiver assistance
- Transportation assistance
- Daily hot lunches
- Meals on Wheels
- Exercise programs
- Educational programs
- Recreational programs
- Information and assistance services
- Telephone reassurance
- Volunteer opportunities and more.
There is no charge for center meals or services, but participants are given the opportunity to support MEAAA with contributions.

Senior Citizens Advisory Commission
Within City government, the senior community is represented in part by the Senior Citizens Advisory Commission. The commission meets monthly and usually has a guest speaker. The public is invited to attend. Click here for more information.
