Yard Waste Service

Missouri law prohibits disposing of yard waste in a landfill. Instead, trash haulers take yard waste to designated sites where leaves, grass, and branches decompose naturally.

In St. Charles, yard waste is collected once per week. All containers must be accessible and ready for service by 6:00 a.m. on the assigned service day.

Yard Waste Tag Program

Those who want occasional yard waste pickup should utilize the Yard Waste Tag Program. Yard Waste Tags can be purchased at the grocery stores listed below. The current cost is $3.25 each. The tag program runs all year. You must call to schedule pick-ups only during the months of January and February. The 90-gallon cart for yard waste requires two tags for each pickup.
