Riverpointe Development

The Purpose

The Riverpointe project is a City initiative to transform the riverfront property along the Missouri River from flood prone commercial and residential development into a dense mixed use development. This project’s goal is increasing economic development, while creating new job opportunities and housing.

The City has transitioned to a partnership role as Clayco continues the development work the City started. The site at the southeast corner of Lombard and South Main is slated to be a Chicken N Pickle. Chicken N Pickle Saint Charles will feature numerous indoor and outdoor pickleball courts, shuffleboard and Bocce ball courts, and a variety of lawn games. Grading and site work has begun on the Chicken N Pickle site, and work will continue on the remaining development.

Improvements

This project will entail building parking, retail, restaurants, office space, entertainment, and multifamily dwellings. Once development is completed it’s expected to provide roughly 4000 jobs, increase the annual visitors by a million people, and produce an annual revenue of an estimated 1.5 billion dollars.
