Neighborhood and Business Watch programs are a vital part of the city's policing efforts. These organized groups act as the eyes and ears of the police, and they receive important information on crime prevention and reduction.
There are approximately 250 Neighborhood Watch groups operating within the City of St. Charles. Each group has a block captain. New watch groups are always being formed and are especially needed in high residency turnover areas such as apartments and rental housing regions.
Crime reduction / prevention programs are individually designed for businesses based upon their specific needs. We have developed programs for apartment managers, hotel and motel managers, financial institutions, and others. We also offer a variety of standard programs.
For all questions or to form a new Neighborhood or Business Watch Program, contact Siobhan Morris at the Police Department's Community Relations office.
