Overview

The purpose of the Landmarks Board is to:

  • Review and approve or deny architectural features of proposed new buildings or additions to existing buildings in the following historic districts:
    • South Main Preservation District
    • Historic Downtown District
    • Frenchtown Historic Preservation District
    • The Commons
    • Extended Historic Preservation District
  • Make recommendations on establishing new historic districts
  • Make recommendations on designating individual buildings as historic landmarks
