St. Charles Area Transit (S.C.A.T) System Changes
Effective Starting Wednesday, March 25, 2020
The I-70 Commuter Shuttle bus route is SUSPENDED until further notice
The City of St. Charles bus routes (Red, Orange, Green, and Blue) are SUSPENDED until further notice
The City will be implementing a Request-for-Transportation system for disabled residents of the City of St. Charles or City residents 60 years of age or older
The request-for-transportation system is dedicated to taking residents of the City of St. Charles that are disabled or over age 60 to the grocery store, doctor’s office, pharmacy, or other essential trip
Pick-ups and drop-offs will occur as close to residences and businesses as possible
There will be a dedicated operational time specifically devoted to trips to grocery stores from 5:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. Monday through Friday, to take advantage of the special store hours implemented by the stores for at-risk individuals
The request-for-transportation normal hours of operation are 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
Maximum capacity on the bus will be four (4) seated passengers plus one (1) wheelchair passenger to provide adequate space for social distancing
Normal SCAT bus fares will be waived for this service
Call (636) 949-3364 or email Public.Works@stcharlescitymo.gov to schedule a request for transportation prior to 3:00 p.m. the day preceding the requested trip
Trips will be scheduled and prioritized on a first-come, first-served basis
Saint Charles Area Transit System (SCAT) consists of 5 bus routes that provide transportation to various locations within the City of Saint Charles as well as to the Metrolink North Hanley Station. All buses are equipped with wheelchair lifts. Contact SCAT at 636-949-3364.

The routes and schedules are subject to change.The Foundry Art Centre serves as the hub for the system. The fixed / deviation routes (Red, Orange, Blue, Green) allow for each bus to deviate 3 blocks off of its assigned route to either pick up or drop off riders. There must be ample clearances and traffic through ways in order for the bus to do off the route deviations. Anyone wishing to be picked up or dropped off of a fixed / deviation route must notify the city 24 hours in advance by calling 636-949-3364. No exceptions will be made.

Saint Charles Trolley
The Saint Charles Trolley runs from April 1st to December 31st. The :30 minute loop serves our destination by offering a free and easy alternative to driving. Whether traveling on business or visiting with friends and family to attend some of our many great events, or in the city participating in a convention, you'll find the St. Charles Trolley to be a convenient way to experience much of what Saint Charles has to offer. The Saint Charles Trolley has a lift to provide access for riders using wheelchairs, scooters, crutches, walkers, or other mobility aids. *Wheelchairs and scooters are required to be 100% secured using fastening straps located in the wheelchair area.For the comfort of riders, no pets are allowed. Service animals only.
The Saint Charles Trolley operates seven days a week from 11:00 a.m - 8:00 p.m.

MO RIDES Transportation Information
MO RIDES is a transportation referral service recently established to provide free assistance in helping people find the most affordable public transportation options to meet their individual needs.
MO RIDES can especially benefit senior citizens, individuals with disabilities and those with low-to-moderate incomes by helping them locate a transportation company that will get them to job interviews, work, medical appointments and other places in and around St. Charles County.
Contact MO Rides between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, for a referral to a transportation company. Many of the companies operate 24/7. There is no fee to call MO Rides for assistance, and you pay the transportation company of your choice once a ride is scheduled.

Fairgrounds and Veteran's Memorial Drive south of I-70 across from the St. Charles Convention Center
West Clay and Harry S. Truman Boulevard north of I-70 at Cave Springs
Zumbehl and Veteran's Memorial Drive south of I-70 across from the Red Roof Inn
