Long Range Water Plan

The purpose of the Long Range Water Plan is to identify, anticipate, and plan potable water system improvements for the efficient benefit of all rate payers. The proposed project costs and schedules are used as a guide for CIP planning.

The proposed "Fire Flow" or "Strengthen System" projects included in this Long Range Water Plan were identified in the Water Master Plan 2011 created by Crawford, Murphy, & Tilley (CMT). Additional projects were identified as high main break locations from Water Division service records.

The proposed schedules in the Long Range Water Plan are a function of Criticality, Proximity, and Cost. When possible, proposed projects are coordinated with other CIP and maintenance projects to reduce restoration and design costs and prevent newly constructed or resurfaced pavement from being cut and patched.
