  8. Second Street Waterline Replacement

    The project will construct a new 8" main along Second Street from Boone's Lick to First Capitol Drive. The waterline along Second Street has been a high maintenance area since 2011 experiencing multiple main breaks. This project will replace the existing 6" water main with a new 8" water main. This will also provide a redundant feed to the downtown area in the event of breaks to the major lines on First Capitol and Madison.

    This project will replace the existing undersized Rio Vista Culvert with a 10' x 20' Box Culvert and replace the existing undersized 5th Street Culvert with a 10' x 22' Box Culvert.

  10. 370 and Mel Wetter Interchange Study

    This project will study potential interchange improvements at MO 370 and Mel Wetter Parkway. It is thought that the MO 370 and Mel Wetter Interchange would provide better access for the public to a major highway.This project will look at alternatives to providing access at this interchange and the traffic volume projections for the area.

  11. Boschert Creek Lower Trunkmain

    The project will improve sanitary sewer capacity along the Boschert Creek Trunk main near Mueller road south across MO 370. The Mississippi Trunk main Model identified that this area needs additional capacity to handle flows during wet weather conditions.

  12. Barthel and North Main Drainage Improvements

    The project will clear and improve conveyance of the existing open channel from North 3rd Street to North Main Street. The project will clean debris and silt from the existing box culvert in the 300 block of Barthel to the east side of North 3rd Street / Highway 94, just south of Hwy 370. This will convert an unimproved drainage ditch to an engineered channel and alleviate flash flooding on Highway 94 at this location.

  13. MO Flood Gates #1

    This project will upgrade Floodgate #1 by raising the Floodgate to the appropriate height, new fencing and access, as well as extensive regrading of the outfall to the Missouri River.

  14. 370 Pedestrian Bridge

    This project will install barrier separated, bicycle pedestrian paths on the 370 bridges over the Missouri River. These barriers will help protect bicyclists and pedestrians that cross the river from St. Charles to St. Louis County. When complete, the project will connect the Katy Trail to the Riverwoods Trail.

  15. St. Linus and St. Leonard Sewer Reconstruction

    The area immediately upstream of this project has been experiencing sanitary sewer backups during storm events. In 2014 and 2015 City Staff modeled and inspected the sewer mains in this area. It was determined that the sanitary backups in the area could be eliminated by upgrading the existing 8 inch sewer to a 12 inch sewer for approximately 250 feet.

  17. Boschert Creek Levee Study

    This project will study the Boschert Creek levee adjacent to Charlestowne. This study will help the City determine if flood protection is provided by the existing levee, and determine if improvements to the levee are needed to bring it up to Army Corps of Engineers certification standard.

  18. Flashing Yellow Arrow, Phase 2

    This project will modify 10 City and 5 MoDOT maintained intersections for the use of Flashing Yellow Left Arrow signal indications.

  19. South Main Street Sidewalk

    The purpose of this project is to extend the existing sidewalk on Main Street south of the I-70 underpass to 1220 S. Main Street.

  20. Cole Creek Bank Stabilization Project at Zumbehl

    Cole Creek is actively widening and its west bank is at risk of encroaching onto adjacent commercial buildings and a parking lot. In order to control the current erosion, the conceptual solution is to stabilize the east and west side banks.

  21. Second at Lawrence Stormwater Project

    This project involves the construction of new stormwater collection systems from the intersection of 3rd and Baynard, to the eventual outfall into the Missouri River. The alignment of the new stormwater system will be determined during the design process.

  23. Truman Road Reconstruction Phase I

    Full depth pavement reconstruction along Truman Road from Point West Blvd. to South Approach Slab for RR Bridge. Project will improve safety, ADA pedestrian and bicycle accessibility, and replace pavement in poor condition.
