    The department of Public Works recently submitted (7) federal grant applications requesting a total of $15,708,118 for the following proposed projects: Friedens Road Street Lights, Harry S. Truman Road – Phase 2, West Clay Street Preservation, Regency Parkway/Veterans Memorial Drive Traffic Signal, Droste Street/West Clay Street Intersection Realignment, St. Charles Bike/Pedestrian Facilities, and Elm Point Industrial Drive Traffic Signal.     This project intends to install 725' of new storm sewer and inlets along the rear property lines to tie into existing storm sewer lines.

  11. Pralle Lane 38FF Water Upgrade

    This waterline replacement/rehab project was identified as a High Priority Fire Flow Project (38FF) in the 2011 Water Master Plan. This project will construct approximately 1,610 feet of new 12” main.

  12. Huster Road Water Well

    To accommodate a growing population, the City of St. Charles will design and construct a new water well to increase raw water supply to Elm Point Water Treatment Plan by two million gallons per day.

  15. Citywide Bicycle and Pedestrian Study

    The purpose for this project is to develop a bicycle and pedestrian master plan for the City of St. Charles. The master planning will be a joint effort between the City of St. Charles Public Works Department and the City of St. Charles Parks and Recreation Department.

    The City intends to remove and replace 300' of failing metal, clay and concrete pipes with new, and possibly larger, sewer pipe.

    This culvert was identified as a high priority replacement after an inspection in 2013. The project will replace a deteriorated 6' diameter CMP.
