Boeing Community Development Lomar

Boeing has submitted a Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) to re-review the effective floodway through their site at 2600 North Hwy 94. Per FEMA’s website, a LOMR is a “modification to an effective Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM), or Flood Boundary and Floodway Map (FBFM), or both”. In this specific application, Boeing is proposing to update the effective model which will revise the size of the Floodway, or area needed to discharge a 1% flood. Per Boeing’s review, the current effective model which establishes the floodway for the Missouri River omitted important data on existing conditions which directly effects the size of the floodway. Generally the area of this LOMR review is from the Hwy 370 Bridge downstream the Missouri River approximately 3 miles.
